When should I book my Family or Senior Portrait session?

We generally take bookings for family and senior portraits 2-3 months in advance, but occasionally have last minute spots available, so please reach out!

What time of day will my Family or Senior Portrait session take place?

All family and senior sessions are in the late afternoon/evening, generally 2 hours before the sun sets.

Can you help us figure out a location in Metro Detroit for our Family or Senior Portrait session?

Of course! We know of several amazing spots in Rochester Hills, Oakland Township, Birmingham, Bloomfield, Troy, downtown – all throughout Metro Detroit and beyond, and we’re more than happy to make suggestions.

Can you help us with what to wear for our photo session?

Yes! We would love to. We’re happy to offer wardrobe recommendations as to what photographs best. You can find our What to Wear Tips HERE and some Hair and Makeup Tips HERE.  Clients often lay out their outfits and send over a photo, or text while out shopping. We’re always glad to give feedback. Full styling is also available so please inquire.

When will our images be ready?

Average turn around time for your image gallery is 3-4 weeks. Galleries will remain open for 14 days for you to select your images and prints. You can find additional information on the entire process available here.

Do we have to order prints of our photos?

The short answer is no.

The long answer is – we think you absolutely should!

Because we are a full-service photographer, we specialize in providing a finished product. We firmly believe that you should not need electricity to view your photos! Selling digital files alone seems like a shortcut, a disservice even, when we, as professional photographers, have access to exclusive pro photographer-only labs with quality far exceeding anything available on the consumer market. Most people never actually get around to printing digital images despite their best intentions. Life just gets in the way, and that’s completely understandable. It happens to all of us. And this is exactly why an image credit is included with your session fee. And why each print comes with its digital image ready for sharing and posting on social media.

Our photographic prints are museum-quality; fingerprint and scratch-resistant, UV-protected to resist fading, and guaranteed to last 100 years or more in typical home display. The quality is simply unmatched!  Of course, you can go the digital route, or print on your own. Just know that the color, clarity, sharpness, and durability you receive with a consumer lab is often times less than optimal. We believe your life should be documented – and these images will become a part of your personal archive. Our prints, albums, and canvas are exceptional – and you will never regret investing in prints of your memories that you can hold in your hands and enjoy everyday (without the reliance on electronic devices)!
